Great article from Variety on the eighty best covers of Dylan songs. I personally don’t think Dylan can sing his way out of a paper bag so any cover of any of his songs qualifies as better than the original. He sure can write the hell out of a song, though.
Seventy-five more covers here.

Dana, I love your choice of music, it’s mostly music I grew up with. But I like when you have something I haven’t heard. Thanks for sharing. Barb
My pleasure!
I don’t believe you can call Dylan’s performances “singing”. At best he intones his songs. For all his non-existent vocal skills, his song writing ability is unquestionable. Thanks for this post and providing hours of entertainment and nostalgia!
So, Dana, should he have been given the Nobel Prize for Literature? (my cat tossed amongst the pigeons)
He got the Nobel for poetry (or “Poetic expression,” eye roll), not for singing. His lyrics will last forever and would have without the Nobel.
