An invaluable oral history. Be warned, though–some of these stories are painful to read. These women were so young and inexperienced and ripe for exploitation, professionally and personally. It amazes me all over again the quality and quantity of art they produced. Yes, I will love you tomorrow and for all the rest of my days.
