Election Day, 2026

November 3, 2026

How I voted.

For US Senate–

Mary Peltola. She has run a tremendous campaign that took her everywhere in the state and I believe she will bring that work ethic to the US Senate, and not before time. Dan has never once tried to put the brakes on Trump.

For US House–

Bill Hill. If we reelect Nick Begich he will be in the minority and useless to us. As an Independent Bill says “you may end up being one of the most powerful people. And if you have a small group of Independents or even a small coalition of people, they could swing every single vote that happens.” And because he sounds like everyone I grew up with.

For Alaska governor–

JKT. He’s smart, he’s experienced, and he says his administration will represent everyone in Alaska, Republican, Democrat, and Independent. I believe him because he has already picked a Republican as his running mate. He has also run an excellent campaign, and he’s from Sitka so working in Juneau doesn’t scare him.

For state senator in District C–

Louise Stutes. She is recommended by both my outgoing senator, Gary Stevens, and by JKT, who said he was looking forward to working with her. Works for me because I think she will.

For state representative in District 6–

Brent Johnson. He says he’s willing to work with everyone and from his past experience in local government he knows pretty much everyone in Juneau already. He’ll be ready to go to work his first day on the job.

The two ballot propositions–

No on both. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. And it ain’t.
