#inmygarden

I was weeding yesterday and the worst news is the death of six of the seven geranium magnificums and two of the four red rocket barberrys, among other losses.

The last geranium magnificum.

But the good news is that much of the garden survived the record low temperatures with no insulating snowpack of this horrible winter and interminably windy, intractably frozen spring.

Lots of buds! Late, but promising.

And then there is this mystery columbine that popped up in the Alaska wildflower garden. A robin must have pooped out a seed while foraging for worms. It’s a beauty and feels like a personal gift from Chloris.

The featured image is the euphorbia in the Duchess’ garden. I thought the second one had died but there are signs of life.

Hey, I’ll takes what I can gets.
