I planted an Alaska wildflower garden in front of the cabin, partly for myself and partly so Outside visitors could see what a hike along the Resurrection Trail in June looks like without having to take the hike. Rita Jo Schultz warned me the plants would migrate and she wasn’t kidding.

The starflowers are popping up everywhere, the purple primrose finally bloomed, the Aleutian speedwell is as ever maintaining, and this interloping columbine front and center looks gorgeous enough that I’m letting it stay even if it isn’t a native plant.
The shooting stars never fail.
The wild geranium (aka cranesbill) are late
but promising an explosion of blooms.

And of course the traditional Alaska lawn art.
