The Hutts have their own space? And I see that Kessel is just outside it. (h/t Brilliant Maps)

Dana sez, herd immunity is so last year. Dan, Lisa, you both voted to confirm RFKJr. as Secretary of HHS. You must be so proud. (h/t USAFacts)
Loved this musical, loved this sendup the cast did of their own selves in rehearsal. See also, and, and.

A new analysis from the team at Our World in Data tracked every article published by the New York Times, Washington Post and Fox News in 2023, and compared their coverage to what Americans actually die from. What they found is obscene.
Heart disease and cancer together accounted for 56% of deaths in America. They received 7% of media coverage. Terrorism killed 16 people in the US that year. Sixteen. It got more attention than heart disease, cancer, stroke, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, kidney disease, and liver disease combined. In fact, terrorism received 18,000 times more coverage than its share of deaths, while homicides were overrepresented by a factor of 43. –Fix the News
Dana sez, America, I love ya, but we really need to get our heads out of our asses. (Fix the News, because it needs it.)
All six episodes after the link. Best John le Carre adaptation ever. (on YouTube and free)
Quote for the day
“I will always be the first to defend law enforcement when lethal force very clearly is required. But this was not even remotely the case, and as an actual TRAINED professional in that field with experience and understanding of both the law and procedures, there is no justification for this- and it would benefit EVERYONE to actually read up on the laws, scope of authority, and use a single shred of common sense to see that this situation was started, escalated, and caused by the ICE agents involved. I have zero respect for those in power who are ignorant of the scope of their authority and abuse it at the cost of lives around them.” –Former law enforcement officer, Kramer Hammy
Outro…Great cover.
And of course the original. I think I literally wore out my copy of What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits back in the day.
