They arrive today, and this is what they’ll see.
April 1st also marks the first day of our month-long Founder’s Match.

Yes, that means exactly what it says it does–if you donate $10 I (the aforesaid founder) will match your donation, which means you’re actually giving $20. Click through to support Storyknife residents in 2026! They may not know your name but believe me when I tell you how much they appreciate their experience here. One wrote
I’ve been noticing the light inching back here, morning & evening, bluing—and wondering often about the Cook & Kachemak colors. Storyknife has continued to mean so much to me, in quiet internal ways, and also in ecstatic outward ways. Thanks to the urging of two of my peers at Storyknife, I applied for, and was just awarded, a huge grant from the Elizabeth George Foundation. It is literally changing my life.
And Storyknife alumna Tessa Hulls just won the National Book Critics Circle John Leonard Prize for Best First Book for Feeding Ghosts: A Graphic Memoir. Which book, please note, she finished in Evangeline Cabin in 2022. Congratulations, Tessa!
These are the writers your contribution supports.
Any amount is welcome and we are grateful for every donation.
Thank you all!

I tried to donate using a credit card and the page kept reverting to PayPal. I don’t want to use PayPal. Is this a temporary glitch, or is there another option?
You’re a fine writer and I’ve enjoyed every word I’ve read, blog post, essay, book review, short story, or novel. It’s an impressive legacy. More impressive still is this foundation, your gift to women writers. Brava.
Thank you so much, Katherine.
