• Mark your calendars–February 7, 2026, is the launch date for The Harvey Girl, the first novel in my Harvey Girl series. The event will be at the Poisoned Pen Bookstore as usual. Follow my blog for excerpts and updates on the series and author events.
• The awesome Kelsey Gere, my social media maven, is currently overhauling the blog at stabenow.com. She reports that she doesn’t think there will be any downtime but FYI.
• Alert readers will have noticed that I have moved comments from Facebook to the blog. If you’re a first time commenter there is a brief lag but usually approval and publication take less than a day. 
• Kelsey is also helping me publish an ebook collection of my Goodreads reviews, called No Stars. There are about 1100 of them, twenty plus years’ worth, and imho includes some of my best work as a writer. Pub date TBA.
• And last but not least, in between writing the first and second Harvey Girls novels, I’m planning a Kate Shugak short story called Use Enough Gun. Yes, that was totally ripped off from Robert Ruark’s book of the same name and will be acknowledged in the text because that is a book Kate would read. I’m thinking of serializing it on stabenow.com as well as publishing it separately in e, but no firm decisions yet.
