If this doesn’t get you on a plane to Spain I wash my hands of you. Also, see you there! (h/t RobR)

George Skaife Beeching’s Map of Matrimony, ca. 1880

From The Public Domain Review’s collection of maps. Love the Lonely Isle in the middle of the Sea of Introduction. At least the Bay of Mirth is directly south of there.

Quote: “America has reached an unprecedented clean energy tipping point, with carbon-free sources providing 95% of all new power capacity in 2024. The nation added 48.2GW of clean energy—enough to power 36 million homes—a 47% jump from the previous year. Traditionally fossil fuel-dependent states like Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana are now leading the solar surge.” Click through the image above to read the whole piece. (h/t Fix the News, who else?)

I’ve never owned a Honda so no logrolling going on here, just a gift link to a wonderfully written review of their latest hybrid model. Quote: “Being a car critic these days is like being a waiter at a terrible restaurant. May I recommend yesterday’s warmed-over nothing burger?Any car that escapes the oppression of the benchmark makes me unreasonably happy. Which brings me to the 2025 Civic Sport Touring Hybrid. Hell, yeah. For $34,300 delivered, this thing is trying harder. We might as well start with the softer-than-strictly-necessary leather on the seats, steering wheel and shifter. I wish I had pants like that.”

Quote: “Last night’s surprise show was, by most speculative audience accounts, a glorified dress rehearsal for Macca’s performance that weekend as part of the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special. No album announcement, no new songs—although he did offer a piano-led rendition of the Grammy-award-winning Lennon demo, “Now and Then,” recently cleaned up and offered to the world as the “final Beatles song.” Click through the image above for more photos and to read the whole piece. Outro…

The best Carpool Karaoke evah. Fast forward about 16 minutes for the pub concert. Fabulous.
