Those wonderful people at Kampa Verlag have published the first Kate Shugak novel, In der Kälte Alaskas (yes, that’s A Cold Day for Murder on this side of the pond), in a new German translation just in time for the holidays! It’s a very handsome paperback, with a sturdy, flapped cover, cover art with alpenglow (squee), a minimal, elegant production, and a clean, legible type. I wish I read German.
And they included something else with my author copy that I love almost as much: a little paper catalogue including all their krimi (German for crime, I now know) listings.

Don’t you love it that they headline the book pages with the names of the heroes? Obviously putting the author’s name up top is so last year, and I am okay with that. (I’m also fine with sharing catalogue space with Michael Connelly.)
Definitely Merry Christmas to me! Vielen Dank, Kampa!
