Continuing the yellow trend.

That euphorbia this time last year was twice as big. Many of my flowers are at least a month late. Seven of my gorgeous firewitch dianthus are in what I sincerely hope is hibernation, not actually dead. Half of the grass in my yard is dead and I’ve bought a pair of aerators to strap onto my Xtratufs so I can tromp around poking holes in the thatch that remains.
Gardening ain’t for sissies.

I live in the desert. Where we’re in (the middle?) an epic drought (1200 years worst). Xeriscaping is where it’s at. I have hardly anything I need to touch (cut the big waving grass once a year, trim the sage).
I sometimes wish I had more options.
True, gardening ain’t for sissies. Is that your camper in the background?
No, it belongs to visiting friends.
