[FYI: Nope, there is no pre-order link for the KindleUS/KindleUK yet. Join the Danamaniacs on Facebook here; they’re always the first to know everything so they’ll know that first, too.] Save the date: I’ll be launching Isis4, aka Abduction of a Slave at the Poisoned Pen Bookstore in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 5pm. Click through the link above or here to pre-order your copy. Hope to see you there! If not, you can always watch the livestream on the PP Facebook page. And just for you, my lovelies, a teeny weeny squib from Kate24, aka No Bones of Men There: This woman looked straight at him, calmly, appraisingly, and he realized she was cataloguing him every bit as much as he was her. He wondered for a moment if she was on the job, but no. The troopers were recruiting women and people of color as fast as they could but there still weren’t many of either and he would have known her, would have met her before he retired. “I’m Ekatarina Shugak.” “Ms. Shugak.” He found himself damn near making a bow, as if to royalty. She nodded as if obeisance came with the job title. Which was what, exactly? Something told him she was more than the official Niniltna Chamber of Commerce greeter. Not bad, eh? Pretty pleased with it myself. Below please find a photo of the recent supermoon, which I stayed up late to photograph from my deck. That filmy cloud made it look like either a painting from the universe’s Romantic Period or the cover of a new edition of Dracula. Getting fancy around here. Below it on the left are the banana cream daisies in the rock garden; on the right the golden queen troilius, also in the rock garden, with a magenta slash of fireweed and a streak of blue sky behind it. Like I said, faaaannnnncy.
