Vae victus!

That would be Latin for "Woe to the vanquished!" The vanquished in this case being Abduction of a Slave, the fourth Eye of Isis novel. The proofs went to my editor this week. This one takes Tetisheri onto the battlefield of Thapsus, Julius Caesar’s next-to-last battle. Battlefields? Not fun. Although I must say, if you get stomped by an elephant it’s over pretty quick.

As a run-up to publication day (January 28) I’ll be excerpting the three first books in the series every Wednesday through the end of the year on stabenow.com, beginning September 4th. JIC you missed ’em. Heh.
