In Death of an Eye news…
…yesterday Barbara and I baked Egyptian Christmas cookies for my signing at the Poisoned Pen on Saturday. With limited success. These are the best of the ankh, the Eye of Horus, and the scarab. (I told Barbara some of the ankhs looked like Casper the Friendly Ghost. Upon reflection, I think I meant dementors.)
I was at the store yesterday and Julie (remember Julie, who found the dragon on the spine of Silk and Song?) said, “Oh, and look at these!” It seems the printer forgot a couple of layers of print and gilt on some of the copies of Death of an Eye. At least the Washington Post still thinks I’m “Outstanding!” And the Danamaniacs, living up to their name, have decided they all want the deformed ones.

I LOVED Death of an Eye. My ancestors came from Alexandria and I was thrilled that you brought to life that ancient cultural melting pot.
