Amen to the muzzle/mussel. Also, too. I recently read a few pages of a freebie biography. The dog of the story was hurt by another dog and the author wrote that the dog had blood on “it’s mussel”. That did it. Off to delete world! Now, I am thinking that if you made a potato cannon, but sized it to mussel, you might get some pretty good velocity with a mussel muzzle.

Recently there was a headline written about a baseball pitcher who pitched both right and left handed. The headline called him “amphibious”. I have been laughing about it ever since.
Another favorite of mine appeared in the Boston Globe some years ago: the person in the story did something “on queue”, rather than “on cue”.
Spellchecking will never replace a good proofreader!

Not a punster..leave that to the sister sibs but.. Notes from a Northwest childhood… Launch one those bivalves from a wrist rocket and the mussel velocity is deadly..or at the very least a seafood induced coma..
